I've been doing this work for a little over two years on a weekly (at least) basis, and I still find it a challenge to bring the dance into my daily routine. For example, how do I Flow in my office? How do I experience Stillness during times of anxiety?

Re: How do you integrate the Rhythms into your daily life?
Tue, October 11, 2005 - 12:21 PMWell, if you're in a restrained situation like an office, you can even just move a hand or your head or your foot. Even if you can't move your whole body, I think the movement gets integrated to some degree.
And it's just like anything else. You can say "I don't have time to dance", but then you just have to make time if you really value that activity. I remember in a workshop I attended that Gabrielle talked about travelling so much and how a lot of her personal work is in the little space between the bed and the TV. Maybe not for her so much lately though. -

Wed, October 19, 2005 - 7:38 AMI think what Hyperion wrote is apt, b/c I do spend my days in a clinic so music is not really part of the equation. I do mini-yoga in my chair when I'm stressed, but I wonder how I could go into chaos in the office, as that's the rhythm that really enables me to let it all go.

Re: How do you integrate the Rhythms into your daily life?
Sun, March 5, 2006 - 7:00 PMyou are doing all the rhythms all the time... i really get healing just from observing the flowing, stacato, chaotic, lyrical, still points in my everyday experience...
sometimes everything is chaos and too many thoughts in my brain, then just an observation comes as a gift- seeing everyday somethings but there is a moment of clarity and in that instant comes stillness and theres a shift that lasts for the rest of the day...

Re: How do you integrate the Rhythms into your daily life?
Fri, April 28, 2006 - 1:37 PMMost of the time I feel stillness, almost numb. Sometimes I prefer chaos over stillness because it makes me feel more alive. Only when I'm out of my work environment lyrical comes over me naturally. I just find it hard to really have a combination of all 3 at work.
